I designed the CARRWeb graphic, from this hand-painted sign. My Grandfather, Ross Carr, painted this in order to hang by the road, above the house number. It was a failed rough draft, because the colors were too dark to be noticable in the evening... Years later, I aquired the little sign and now have it displayed on my mantle at home, to remind me of grandpa and his putterings.

I scanned the sign, then took bits and pieces of the graphical image, to create the background and lettering of the "web" portion of the website logo...

So, in effect, my grandfather helped me with some of the art on the website... : )
